Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumber and Gasfitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, gas fitting, and mechanical systems, with experience in manufacturing and construction environments. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and schematics. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and precision.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures, gas lines, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills to determine solutions
- Follow safety protocols related to plumbing, gas fitting, welding, and manufacturing standards
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving schematics, HVAC systems, or manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber or gasfitter with knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, manufacturing processes, or construction projects
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, maintenance procedures, and schematics
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Valid certification or licensing as a plumber or gasfitter is preferred but not mandatory for all roles
- Physical ability to handle heavy equipment and materials safely during installation or repairs
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Experience:
- Plumbing: 4 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- 306A (preferred)
- G1/G2 Gas Licence (preferred)
