Truck & Coach Mechanic
Job Summary
Z’gamok Construction LP (ZCLP), a subsidiary of Z’gamok Enterprises Inc., an Indigenous business fully owned by Sagamok Anishnawbek, provides a diverse range of services across multiple business segments, including construction, haulage, sand and gravel supply, and surface mining services.
Z’gamok Construction LP (ZCLP) is seeking a licenced Truck and Coach Mechanic (310T) to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect and test trucks and coach systems to diagnose faults and malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, brake adjustments, etc.)
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Conduct engine diagnostics and electrical system troubleshooting
- Performing brake, supsension, and transmission repairs
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify isssues.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain organized and tidy work environment including required tools for the job
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A valid G driver's license
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Truck and Coach Technician certification (310T)
- Previous experience working on heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with diagnostic software and tools
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid DZ drivers license is considered an asset
- 310S Automotive Service Technician license considered an asset
- Willingness to work afternoons

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
