Overview
We are seeking a skilled Semi Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with various industrial tools are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on semi trucks, trailers, and associated equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace faulty components including engines, brakes, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other industrial equipment
- Conduct welding repairs as needed for structural or mechanical components
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of truck parts during repairs or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with semi trucks and trailers.
- Proficiency with schematics, electrical systems, power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the workday
- Experience working with hand tools and performing maintenance tasks in a workshop or field setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with good customer service orientation when interacting with clients or team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
