Overview
The Kitchen Supervisor – Evenings is a full-time position responsible for overseeing evening kitchen operations under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager. This role supports the Restaurant and Banquet operations and is responsible for leading kitchen operations. The Kitchen Supervisor assists the Kitchen Manager in ensuring full compliance with all health and safety regulations and adherence to proper sanitary and safe food handling practices at all times.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and present menu items consistently in accordance with established recipes, presentation guidelines and brand standards
- Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation
- Monitor food production to maintain consistency across all kitchen outlets, including restaurant and banquets
- Assist in planning house specials and communicate product requirements to the team
- Uphold strict food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards at all times
- Follow proper food handling procedures, including FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation, Temperature logs, Heating & cooling logs and Cleaning & sanitation logs
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are followed consistently
- Receive, inspect and store deliveries according to hotel policies and procedures
- Check coolers, freezers and dry storage areas to ensure proper stock levels and freshness
- Monitor and maintain line coolers and kitchen stations for efficiency and readiness
- Ensure proper organization, cleanliness and functionality of all workstations
- Assist in checking food receivables for quality and quantity and support invoice verification as required
- Provide guidance and support to cooks to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery
- Attend department or catering meetings in the absence of Kitchen Manager when required
- Assist with scheduled deep cleaning and maintenance activities
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques and food handling practices.
- Experience in hotel environments is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
