Compensation Information: $26.65 per hour
Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; both in an indoor & outdoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:
- At least one previous season as a Senior Lift Operator at a major destination resort within the last 5 years.
- A team player with proven supervisory and guest service skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong personal work ethic and a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to show up, be consistent, have a good attitude and act with integrity.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather extremes and capable of heavy, repetitive work.
- Valid BC class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Strong skier/snowboarder.
- Completed Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Highly knowledgeable in operation of passenger ropeways.
- Have a strong knowledge of the Z-98 code, BC Safety Act, and regulations as applied to passenger ropeways and conveyors.
- Physically fit and free from injuries; able to lift 20kg for more than a few moments.
- Previous experience in Snowmobile operations is considered an asset.
- Lift 150 certification is considered an asset.
- Related Ski Resort Management or Tourism Management education is considered an asset.
- Related experience in Lift maintenance or Outside Operations is considered an asset.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operation of the lift operations team.
- Ensure the proper & safe operation of all passenger ropeways and conveyors.
- Assist with hiring and training of seasonal staff.
- Supervise all work in accordance and adherence with established safety and inspection procedures including start up, obtaining loading clearances, ramp and maze maintenance, daily log sheets, shut down, and post operational procedures.
- Give directions to staff and can follow up when necessary.
- Ensure all SPR policies are adhered to particularly in regard to safety, Environmental Management System, and passenger ropeway Z-98 regulations.
- Respond to lift, guest or staff related incidents; assist in the investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents as required.
- Supervise the parking lot and tube time operations.
- Present yourself with the highest standards of image and appearance with exemplary personal grooming, hygiene and a clean uniform on a daily basis.
- Ensure that the staff working in your assigned zone meet company standards in dress, appearance, and readiness to work (including staff pass) before they leave the staff room.
- Attend all staff safety meetings with timely follow-up on agenda items and minutes to be recorded and filed.
- Monitor the timely and safe sign-ins and sign-outs of all staff.
- Manage the inventory of all equipment and supplies required for operations.
