KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Sending confirming product to shop floor
- Building Toolset as per tool lists
- Touching off toolsets on pre-setter per
instruction
- Tool setter operation: printing tool lists, making
adjustments, updates and revision changes to tool lists
- Assist in stocking and re-ordering tools
- Keep inventory counts (while stocking and
retrieving)
- Forecast inventory requirements
- Distribute non-tool crib receiving
- Tend tool room window (I. E >. Replacement tooling
and consumables)
- Replace and retrieve fixtures on shelving
- Manage fixture logbook/database (including updates
and changes)
- Disassemble tooling
- Setting angle heads per instruction
SECTION 3: QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of high school or high school equivalency;
no work-related education required
Experience in a 5S environment.
- Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of similar work
experience or relevant education;
- Knowledge of cutting tools, holders and measuring
tools an asset.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills; technical
knowledge related to machining and/or tooling
- Must have some computer experience sufficient to
create, operate and maintain computerized information
- Good verbal communication; willingness to perform
extra work and take on new projects/responsibilities

sense of teamwork and across organization; ability to prioritize
