Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the development and well-being of children in our care. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children of various ages, including those with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in early childhood education or caregiving.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor children during play, learning activities, and mealtime to ensure safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Assist children with daily routines such as dressing, hygiene, and rest periods
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures in all aspects of childcare
Requirements
- Prior 2 to 3 years classroom experience or experience working with very young children 12 month to 5 years preferred in a facility based program
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children in meaningful activities
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of children
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive environment that fosters growth and development
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required before start date
- Police clearance and vulnerable sector check
- Diploma in Early childhood education and Alberta Childcare staff certification Level 3 or Level 2

Pay: $16.00-$29.17 per hour
