We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Welding Supervisor to join our team at our Saskatoon location on our afternoon shift.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Welding Supervisor ensures product is manufactured in a safe and productive manner while meeting quality expectations as documented in the Doepker Quality Management Program. As a member of the Manufacturing Coordinator team, the position is responsible for the safety, supervision, training and utilization of staff and equipment within the Manufacturing Department of Doepker Industries.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop a staff level plan in order to meet scheduled plant output requirements;
- Proven experience in welding supervision within a manufacturing setting, with strong mechanical knowledge;
- Update and lead huddle board meetings;
- Ensure building and equipment maintenance programs are performed and followed;
- Lead by example by conducting self in a positive and professional manner in accordance with the company’s mission, vision and values;
- Review production schedule for the next week/month to determine challenges and works to overcome challenges;
- Responsible for achieving the Production Schedule, safely and on-time;
- Represent the company externally by attending meetings, trade shows, conferences, conventions and seminars to network with other supply chain management professionals, suppliers and industry peers.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Minimum Grade 12;
- Lean Training to the Green Belt level or completion within 24 months;
- Completion of post-secondary education is considered an asset;
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required, experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software is desirable;
- Leadership Expectations: Support continuous improvement ideas, problem solving and decision making, review root cause analysis, and demonstrate support for safety and wellness and works effectively with other Manufacturing Coordinators across Doepker.
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
