Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Customer Service professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in food service or the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a passion for delivering a positive customer experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks using proper techniques and equipment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing customer inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation surfaces, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed to support team operations.
- Manage order processing efficiently using POS systems, ensuring quick turnaround times during busy periods.
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices and adhering to food handling regulations.
- Support team members during peak hours by managing multiple responsibilities such as serving, cashiering, and cleaning.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Food safety certification or knowledge of food handling procedures is desirable.
