Reporting to the Field Sales Director, the Territory Manager will be responsible for increasing sales volume, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with clients, particularly with the LCBO and within the On-Premises industry, analyze market trends, and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
Territory: Ottawa and surrounding areas
Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies and tactics based on insights, customer feedback, and market conditions.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of our products, competitors, and customer needs (LCBO and On-Premises).
- Proactively identify and seize opportunities for business growth, value creation, and brand retention.
- Achieve sales targets and drive sales growth within the territory.
- Manage designated business development budgets on a daily basis.
- Organize routes and account visits to accomplish daily tasks efficiently.
- Forecast purchasing volumes using computer tools and systems.
- Participate in supplier visits, trade events, and consumer events, which may occur outside regular business hours.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in a sales role.
- WSET certification (an asset).
- Experience in the wine industry (a major asset).
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of CRM tools (EzFocus).
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to attend evening and weekend events.
- Must possess a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
