About the Role
The Processing Line Leader is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of AGL's order fulfilment operation. You will work as part of a team of 10–12 people on the processing line, taking freshly harvested rose plants from the cooler and transforming them into finished, shelf-ready retail products — correctly upgraded, labelled and sleeved — ready to hand off to the packing team.
This role requires both the ability to drive production pace and the judgment to maintain quality standards, coordinate with adjacent teams, and set your crew up for a clean, accurate shift every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and organize the processing line each shift — confirming order requirements, correct UPC labels, upgrade type, and colour mix.
- Maintain production pace and line quality throughout, enforcing the quality standards expected on every production day.
- Monitor positions on the team and redirect team members between line positions as needed
- Coordinate order separation and cart labelling when running processing teams to ensure each order stays clean and correctly identified.
- Communicate with the packing team, confirming when orders are complete and staged.
- Ensure cooler cart movements are recorded accurately in the cooler inventory app as stock is pulled for each order.
- Identify and escalate production issues — equipment, quality concerns, or resourcing gaps — promptly.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience leading a production, assembly, or warehouse line team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly around order-specific requirements like UPC codes and upgrade types where errors are costly.
- Clear, direct communicator who can coordinate across teams (processing, packing, logistics) in a busy warehouse environment.
- Reliable and consistent — the line runs on schedule and the team takes its cue from this role.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, WMS and other systems.
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Proficiency in English required; Spanish language skills are a strong asset given our bilingual workforce and operating documentation.
Work Environment
This is a full-time permanent position based at AGL's Ontario greenhouse and warehouse facility. The role is physically active, operating in a production environment that includes cooler areas, open warehouse floor, and conveyor-based line work. Repetitive motion and extended periods of standing are involved.
