Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as floor scrubbing, window washing, and carpet cleaning as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of all facility surfaces, including desks, furniture, and fixtures
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times
- Perform minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or reporting larger repairs to management
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or hazards
- Ensure waste disposal is handled properly by emptying trash receptacles regularly
- Keep storage areas organized and ensure cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures for various surfaces and materials
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and walking for extended periods
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
