Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for trees and landscaping, along with the necessary technical skills to ensure the health and maintenance of various tree species. This role involves working outdoors in diverse environments, utilizing specialized equipment to perform tree care tasks, and contributing to the overall aesthetic and ecological health of our landscapes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of trees to determine their health and maintenance needs.
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Operate bucket trucks safely for high-access tree work.
- Assist in landscape maintenance tasks, including planting, mulching, and watering.
- Rig trees safely for removal or trimming as necessary.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Educate clients on tree care practices and landscape management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in arboriculture or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in bucket operation and safe handling of bucket trucks.
- Strong knowledge of plant biology, particularly regarding trees and landscapes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with landscaping and tree care.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to arboriculture are a plus.
