Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Host/Takeout team member to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for guests, managing takeout orders efficiently, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food service or restaurant settings. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements or takeout orders
- Manage phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, taking reservations or answering questions about the menu and services
- Handle takeout orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely preparation and delivery to customers
- Operate POS systems, to process transactions smoothly and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless service flow
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business
Skills
- Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette for taking reservations and handling inquiries
- Ability to work well as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude during busy hours
Pay: $17.60 per hour
