Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, following proper food handling procedures
- Assist in meal assembly, plating, and garnishing to ensure attractive presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to support smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving sizes, portion control, and waste reduction
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, including chopping, seasoning, and cooking various ingredients
- Familiarity with serving protocols and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and basic troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction
