Overview
Keywest Asphalt Group is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with a strong commitment to safety to lead civil and highway infrastructure projects in British Columbia. The successful candidate will oversee municipal and highway construction projects, including work for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI), ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage municipal and highway construction projects, including utilities, roadworks, paving, and concrete operations
- Lead and enforce safety-first culture on all projects in compliance with WorkSafeBC and company standards
- Coordinate project schedules, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and field crews
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and tender documents for municipal and highway projects
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, progress claims, change orders, and cost reports
- Conduct project meetings with clients, consultants, municipalities, MOTI representatives, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with environmental and quality standards
- Coordinate traffic management plans, permits, inspections, and utility relocations
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve construction, scheduling, and safety issues
- Support estimating, planning, and risk management as required
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of civil and highway construction project management experience
- Strong experience with highway projects for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is highly preferred
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining high safety standards on construction sites
- Well versed with MS Office, MS Project, etc.
- Knowledge of MMCD contracts, construction scheduling, and project coordination
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
Assets
- P.Eng., AScT, PMP, or related designation

Working Conditions:

- Travels to project sites may be required.

Experience:
