If you answered yes to any of these, IUPAT District Council 38 is looking for motivated, reliable, and committed Painters, Apprentices, and Red Seal Journeypersons to join our team for the upcoming busy commercial painting season.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces: Sanding, caulking, and filling minor imperfections on interior and exterior surfaces.
- Apply paint: Use brush, roller, and spray techniques to apply primer and finish coats.
- Spray applications: Paint metal and wood doors/trim using spray equipment.
- Equipment maintenance: Clean and maintain brushes, rollers, and airless spray pumps.
- Professionalism on site: Wear your Painter’s Whites and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- Collaborate effectively: Communicate with crew members, subtrades, and other trades on site.
- Lead and mentor: Supervise and train crew members at various experience levels.
- Travel locally: Be available to work at various sites across the Lower Mainland whether it be by car or local transit.
- Safety first: Work on construction sites that require full PPE (Hard Hat, Gloves, Glasses, Steel-Toe Boots).
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced Red Seal Journeypersons or Uncertified Journeypersons who are willing to mentor apprentices.
- Opportunities available for experienced non-ticketed Journeypersons and Apprentices ready to work toward certification.
- Ability to supply your own basic hand tools (we provide all application equipment).
- Knowledge of today’s commonly used paints and coatings.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Training Provided – No Experience? No Problem!

- OFA Level 1
