Senior Data Scientist — AI & Automation
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our AI & Data team and drive the development of intelligent automation solutions, agentic AI systems, and advanced analytics capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy agentic AI solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs), RAG architectures, and multi-agent orchestration to automate complex business processes
- Build and maintain intelligent workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio) integrated with AI/ML capabilities
- Develop and operationalize machine learning models on Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, BigQuery, GCP) for demand forecasting, optimization, and decision support
- Architect end-to-end data pipelines and MLOps workflows ensuring scalability, monitoring, and governance
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high-impact automation opportunities and translate them into technical solutions
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's AI strategy and best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Canada in data science, ML engineering, or AI development (internships excluded)
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, or equivalent)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform — particularly Power Automate and Copilot Studio — in production environments
- Experience with Google Cloud AI/ML stack (Vertex AI, BigQuery, GCP)
- Solid Python, SQL, and cloud-native development skills
- Experience with MLOps tooling (MLflow, Docker, CI/CD, model monitoring)
Nice to have
- Experience in retail, supply chain, or high-volume transactional environments
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Azure Databricks or Snowflake experience
- Certifications in GCP, Azure, or Power Platform
