Quality Inspector – CMM Programming | Precision CNC Machining
Location: Vaughan, ON
Pay Rate: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift
Eligibility: Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizenship Required
We are hiring an experienced Quality Inspector with strong CMM Programming experience for a precision CNC machining facility serving the Aerospace, Medical Device, Defence, and Nuclear industries. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components, programming and operating CMM equipment, interpreting engineering drawings, and applying GD&T principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform First-Off, In-Process, Final, and Incoming Material Inspections
- Program, operate, and maintain CMM equipment
- Develop and modify CMM inspection programs
- Perform dimensional inspections using CMM, vision inspection systems, and precision measuring equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Apply GD&T principles to verify dimensional conformity
- Inspect precision CNC machined components to customer specifications
- Verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
- Identify and document non-conforming materials and products
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Inspection experience in a Precision CNC Machining environment
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on CMM Programming and Operation experience
- Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components
- Experience working in Aerospace, Medical Device, Defence, Nuclear, or other high-precision machining environments
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and precision inspection
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS, Calypso, MODUS, or similar software
- Experience working in an AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment
- Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, or Quality Certification
- Experience performing First Article Inspection (FAI)
