Key Responsibilities
● Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess physical, emotional, and developmental needs across all age groups.
● Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting activities of daily living, mobility, and adaptive strategies.
● Deliver therapeutic interventions for children, teens, and adults, incorporating age-appropriate techniques and tools.
● Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and case managers—to coordinate holistic patient care.
● Educate patients and their families on exercises, adaptive strategies, and safety measures to support ongoing care at home and in the community.
● Document patient progress accurately, maintaining detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
● Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment after hospitalization or outpatient services.
Requirements
● Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant state or region.
● Experience in hospital or clinical settings preferred; prior experience with pediatric and adolescent populations is a plus.
● Strong knowledge of medical terminology, case management principles, and age-appropriate therapeutic techniques.
● Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism.
● Excellent communication skills for collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
● Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the evolving needs of diverse patients.
● Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and adherence to healthcare regulations.
