The Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association (HHSVA) is hiring! We are looking for customer focused individuals who are interested in joining our diverse and engaged team.

Since we operate inside a healthcare facility, health clearance is required before joining our team. Part of that health clearance process is providing proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or providing a documented exemption to be approved by Hamilton Health Sciences.
Responsibilities:

Greet customers
-
Park and retrieve automobiles for customers in parking lots
-
Issue ticket stubs, or place numbered tags on windshields, and give customers matching tags for locating parked vehicles.

Keep parking within their working areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized.

Lift, position, and remove barricades in order to open or close parking areas
-
Inspect vehicles in order to detect potential damages-record findings
-
Direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary

Patrol parking areas in order to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle or property thefts

Performs space count in the parking facilities to maximize parking availability for patrons

Directs/redirects traffic as needed

Other duties as assigned by Parking Manager /Director of Parking Operations
Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum grade 10 education
-
1-2 years related work experience
-
Must possess a valid type “G” drivers license
-
Must be able to operate vehicles with a manual transmission
-
Must be able to obtain and provide a clean Driver’s Abstract upon hire and in April of each year

Knowledge and experience dealing with public
-
Excellent customer service skills
-
Ability to work well with team members
-
Ability to lift 5 to 25lbs
