We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitation programs for patients with various physical conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a hospital environment. Experience in pediatrics and acute care settings is highly desirable.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (MSc PT) or Doctorate D.PT
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- PT residents must have their provisional license and mentor.
- Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and/or the Ontario Physiotherapy Association is an asset
- 2-5 years of previous Physiotherapist experience is preferred. Experience working with the senior population is required
- Community experience and knowledge of community resources is required
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
- Able to work independently
- Access to a vehicle
- Attendance and discipline-free record is a requirement
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in physiotherapy.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises and manual therapy, to improve patient mobility and function.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and rehabilitation processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy and pediatric care practices.

Part-Time
Salary:
$45-55 per hour. Remuneration will be based on the applicant's level of skills and years of experience. New grads will be compensated at a lower rate.

Our Patient Population: A mix of public and private patients
- Publicly Funded (OHIP) Physiotherapy
- Spine patients (private)
- Sport Injuries (Private)
- Bundled Care Post-Surgical Rehab for Hips and Knees
- GLAD program for His and Knees OA
- Rapid Access Clinic for Low Back Pain
- Extended health care patients (sports / acute / chronic injuries/Vertigo/Vestibular Conditions)
- Workplace safety & insurance board (WSIB) patients
- Motor vehicle accident (MVA) patients
- Post-surgical patients (private)
· Additional training in manual therapy, vestibular rehab, pelvic health and acupuncture is an asset
· Experience with back pain, and spinal conditions, orthopaedic conditions, chronic pain, vestibular conditions such as vertigo is an asset
