Clean and sanitize plateware, silverware, glassware, pots and pans, utensils, equipment, and work areas in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Set up workstations as required, including filling dish machines, checking chemical levels, pre-soaking items, and gathering required equipment. Replenish supplies as needed throughout all shifts.
Rinse and scrape dishes and operate dishwashing equipment according to manufacturer specifications. Store clean dishes and utensils in designated locations.
Clean designated kitchen equipment and areas, including hoods, filters, steam tables, carts, sinks, refrigerators, freezers, service areas, walls, floors, and waste disposal areas as assigned.
Properly use and dispose of kitchen chemicals and substances, including grease and cleaning products.
Monitor the working condition of equipment and machinery and report any hazardous situations, emergencies, security concerns, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Empty and clean garbage containers as needed and transport waste to designated disposal areas while following recycling procedures.
Set up and maintain the pot sink according to established procedures.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors throughout the shift and after spills to maintain a safe work environment.
Monitor water temperatures and chemical levels during operation and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with Catering, Banquets, Restaurant, and Maintenance teams.
Perform other duties as assigned. In carrying out your duties, you will follow all Company and Brand Standards.

This job requires the ability to perform the following:
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
Standing and moving about the kitchen for extended periods
Handling dishes, glassware, utensils, equipment, and cleaning supplies
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling
Working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment
Other:
Communication skills are utilized when interacting with kitchen staff, supervisors, and other hotel departments.
Reading and writing abilities are utilized when following cleaning procedures, safety instructions, and chemical handling guidelines.
Basic math skills are used when measuring cleaning chemicals and completing inventory tasks.
Food Handler Certification may be required according to local or provincial regulations.
May be required to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work Area: Main Kitchen, Stewarding Areas, Restaurant and Banquet Support Areas.
