We are seeking highly motivated Forestry Pit & Road Construction Equipment Operators to join our team.
As an equipment operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to complete construction, excavation or other projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a range of equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders and articulated trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers and wheel loaders to excavate, move or load rock, gravel or other materials during construction related activities
- Operate bulldozers or other heavy equipment to clear brush and stumps prior to logging activities and to build roads at logging sites
- Conduct pre-operational check on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
- Perform minor repairs as necessary
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders and articulated trucks
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
