Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting and order picking tasks within a fast-paced environment. The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload goods from trucks, storage areas, and production lines
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and ensuring proper storage practices
- Use basic math skills to verify quantities and measurements during loading and unloading processes
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks as needed, adhering to safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics preferred
- Certification or experience operating forklift equipment, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
- Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and verifying orders
- Experience with heavy lifting in a warehouse setting is advantageous

Pay: $22.15-$24.15 per hour
