Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role provides vital support in pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing and excellent patient care. Duties
- Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed
- Enter prescription data accurately into pharmacy systems
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Prepare labels and packaging for medications in accordance with regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace
- Support medication administration processes and documentations as required
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and medical regulations
Requirements
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate approach to patient care with strong communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining accuracy
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is advantageous
