Ontario Conservatory of Music (OCOM) is celebrating its 87th year of excellence in music education. Since 1939, we have introduced music education to more than five million students across Ontario and continue to expand throughout Southern Ontario.
We are seeking highly motivated sales professionals to meet with families who have requested information regarding music lessons and educational programs for their children.
This is not a cold-calling position. Families have already expressed an interest in our programs and requested additional information. Your role is to guide them through the assessment and enrollment process.

About the Position
As an Educational Sales Advisor, you will:
- Contact families who have requested information regarding music lessons
- Schedule and conduct in-home educational assessments
- Present the benefits of music education and student development
- Recommend appropriate lesson programs based on individual needs
- Complete student enrollments and registrations
- Maintain professional relationships with prospective families
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and ongoing training
What We're Looking For
- Proven ability to close sales and achieve performance targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong customer service background
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented personality
- Ability to work independently
- Evening and weekend availability
- Previous sales experience preferred
- In-home sales experience considered a strong asset
- Fluent English communication skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable personal vehicle available for business use
Additional Qualifications Considered an Asset
- Ability to communicate effectively with families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Experience working within multicultural communities
- Additional language skills are considered an asset but are not required
Training Provided
- No musical background is required but would be an obvious asset!
You do not need to play an instrument or have previous music education experience. We will provide complete training on our programs, assessment procedures, enrollment process, and sales methodology.
Compensation
- Average annual earnings: $61,000 – $80,000+
- Weekly nominal salary
- Weekly commission earnings
- Fuel allowance paid on every sale

Schedule
- Weekly office and training meetings
- Evening appointments with prospective families
- Weekend availability required
- Average Advisor workload: approximately 20 - 30 hours per week
