We are a newer pet retail and grooming location and are looking for an experienced Groomer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, wants to build up a loyal client base, and takes pride in high-quality grooming and animal care. You will be our third groomer!
This position is commission-based, meaning your earnings are based on the grooming services completed.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-service grooming including baths, blow drying, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, breed cuts, shave downs, deshedding, and scissoring.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary grooming workspace.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained.
- Prioritize animal handling that is gentle, patient, and stress-conscious.
- Work collaboratively with store staff when needed.
Requirements
- Professional grooming experience is required.
Minimum 2+ years grooming dogs in a professional setting.
(More experience is highly valued.)
- Ability to groom dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Strong scissoring and finishing skills.
- Must be comfortable working independently.
- Ability to handle pets safely and compassionately.
- Reliable & punctual
Hours
This is a new location, which means:
- Some days may be fully booked.
- Some days may be quieter until the clientele grows.
We want someone who understands the natural growth of a new grooming salon and can work with that.
