Vernon Toyota Licensed Automotive Technician
Position Summary:
Vernon Toyota is currently seeking an individual to fill the role of flat rate Licensed Automotive Red Seal Technician. We are looking for a positive and self-motivated person who enjoys dealing with automotive vehicle repair. An Automotive Technician is responsible for the servicing and repairs of customer and dealership vehicles as assigned by a service representative of the company. The most important requirement of the position is the ability to provide exceptional service to each and everyone of our customers.
· This is a full-time position, 5 days per week, 8 Hour shifts, running Monday to Friday.
· We offer a competitive compensation package with Extended Benefits after 3 monthsemployment.
· We also offer staff pricing on service and parts.
· Training Available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prompt and professional service and/or repair of vehicles assigned.
· Able to complete all work in accordance with the dealership safety requirements and protocols.
· Test drive vehicle and verify repairs needed, completing quality control inspection on completion.
· Document all services and repairs by completing appropriate notes and paperwork or using in house computer system to obtain and complete repair orders.
· Dispose of fluids and chemicals in accordance with established guidelines as well as using all machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
· Maintain and inventory of standard automotive technician tools required to perform all services and repairs.
· Utilize dealership standard operating procedures to perform various jobs.
· Attend training as required.
· Provide administrative assistance to complete work orders and claims.
Education/Experience:
· Provincial Automotive Technician License – Red Seal
· Basic computer skills required.
· Able to communicate effectively and courteously to all staff and customers.
· Is detail oriented with an attention to accuracy in their work and an ability to multitask.
· Able to work as a team player.
