Job Overview
As a knowledgeable and hands-on professional, the Maintenance Technician supports daily operations within our food production facilities. The successful candidate will drive the maintenance, performance enhancement, and optimization of mechanical systems to ensure plant operations remain consistent, compliant, and highly efficient.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with suppliers and technical partners to design, improve, and optimize mechanical systems for processing, packaging, and facility operations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems, identify underlying causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain consistent and reliable operations.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs, scheduling and executing inspections and repairs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Support a variety of maintenance and engineering projects, including equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, modifications, repairs, plant expansions, and layout adjustments.
- Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation such as engineering reports, mechanical drawings, system specifications, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—production, maintenance, quality assurance, and sanitation—to ensure effective and efficient plant operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on equipment productivity, energy efficiency, downtime reduction, and process automation.
- Operate production machinery and equipment in alignment with standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Contribute to operational tasks by assembling components, operating machinery, and replacing consumables (e.g., packaging materials, labels) to maintain a continuous production flow.
- Ensure mechanical documentation remains accurate, current, and compliant with applicable regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and OHSA standards.
- Provide training, guidance, and technical support to equipment operators, maintenance staff, and production line workers.
- Perform other duties by management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to production quality and workplace safety.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, machinery, and low temperatures.
- Physically capable of lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese will be a strong advantage.
