Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team in Winnipeg. This role is essential in helping us provide top-quality heating and cooling systems for our residential clients. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install gas furnaces, electric/gas water heaters, HRVs, and air conditioning systems.
- Perform furnace and water tank change-outs, retrofits, and new-home installations.
- Follow Manitoba building codes, safety procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Complete system start-up, testing, and basic troubleshooting.
- Communicate clearly with customers and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean worksite and follow company procedures for materials and tools.
- Participate in occasional overtime when a job must be completed the same day (not frequent, paid).
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience (residential or commercial).
- Ability to install:
- Gas furnaces
- Water tanks (electric and gas)
- Air conditioners/heat pumps
- Venting, sheet metal fittings, basic gas piping
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in basements and mechanical rooms.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, meters, and basic HVAC diagnostics.
- Gas ticket not required, but is a strong asset.
- Reliable, punctual, professional communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Light sheet metal fabrication.
- Smart thermostat installation (Lennox, Nest, Ecobee).
- Basic soldering/brazing.
