Summary
Viacore Calgary is seeking a skilled Slitter Operator to join our team in Calgary. Based at our facility, this role is vital in ensuring the efficient processing of materials and supporting our commitment to quality and innovation. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining high standards of production and safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor slitting machines to cut materials accurately according to specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine troubleshooting.
- Follow safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
- Document production data and report issues promptly.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Slitter Operator or similar role in manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read blueprints.
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic math skills.
- Knowledge of CNC machinery and welding is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
