Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Hip Hop Dance Instructor/Choreographer to join our vibrant dance community. This role involves teaching energetic hip hop dance classes, creating engaging choreography, and inspiring students of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, excellent communication skills, and a love for working with children and youth. As a key member of our team, you will foster creativity, confidence, and a love for dance through innovative instruction and positive mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Design and teach engaging hip hop dance classes tailored to different skill levels and age groups
- Develop original choreography for performances, recitals, and special events
- Provide tutoring and personalized feedback to help students improve their technique and performance skills
- Create a fun, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages students’ artistic growth
- Work with children in a safe and supportive manner, promoting teamwork and self-expression
- Collaborate with other instructors to plan curriculum and organize dance events or showcases
- Maintain a clean and organized studio environment to ensure safety and professionalism
- Assist with community outreach programs to promote dance education and participation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching hip hop dance or choreography, preferably with classroom experience
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques, choreography development, and performance skills
- Experience working with children or in early childhood education settings is highly desirable
- Excellent tutoring and teaching abilities with a patient, encouraging attitude
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Creative mindset with the ability to choreograph original routines for various occasions
- Passion for dance education, mentorship, and fostering young talent
- Prior experience in cooking or classroom activities is a plus but not required
