We are hiring for 1 (one) Dining Room Server. This position is a full-time contract position LOCATED IN ALGONQUIN PARK with a July 13th, 2026 start date until the end of our season on October 29th, 2026.
You must be able to complete the entire season to be considered for this position. You may be required to work holidays, weekends, split shifts, and on occasion 6-day weeks. Since we are a smaller resort, we are able to give our guests personalized attention. The successful candidate should be outgoing and possess a natural talent for customer service.
Pay is based on an hourly wage of $18.50-$19.00/hour plus a share of our generous tip pool. For a full-time staff member in 2025, tips worked out to an extra $11,000 cumulative for the entire season, or almost $10 more per hour.
We provide staff accommodations and two meals per day. Employees are welcome to our amenities including canoes, kayaks, and bikes. Employees are also able to enjoy unlimited access to the park at no cost during their days off.
Reporting to the General Manager, duties for dining room include:
- Provide professional and friendly service to all resort guests
- Take and process guests’ orders in a timely fashion
- Memorize daily specials and special daily menu instructions
- Manage large groups quickly and efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking
- Maintain a fine dining atmosphere and handle guest complaints/requests quickly
