ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will be involved with ongoing client projects and the growth of new product collections. Working closely with our design and production teams, the person in this role will learn the ins and outs of each product and project in detail to prepare shop drawings for clients, develop 3D models and physical prototypes for new products, and support the design team with daily and future projects. This role is for a versatile candidate who can work across 3D modelling software, technical drawings/documentation, BOM management, 3D renderings, physical prototyping, and graphic design.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with design & production teams for accurate and efficient 3D models that are designed for fabrication, including product-specific updates/revisions
- Participate in new product development for 2026-2027 collections from initial concept to prototype samples
- Package client-facing shop drawings/technical documentation
- Support the production team through BOM management/creation
- Lead specialty/custom projects for clients from initial concept to pre-production
- Research and development into market trends, precedent studies, and design opportunities
- Project/product proposals of concepts as needed
- Production assistance as needed

Your experience and skills:
- Achieved a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent trade experience in Industrial Design or similar
- 1-2 years working in a similar design role
- Experience working in Fusion360
- Experience working with BOM management
- Experience working with client-based projects
- Physical prototyping from concepts to working models
- Creative eye for aesthetics and unique visuals
- Capable of reading and generating technical drawings
- You are a fast learner and welcome new challenges
- You are self-organized and detail-oriented
- You are a team player and will take leadership to initiate & coordinate
- You are goal-oriented and capable of achieving deadlines
Assets:
- Working with table-driven design
- Experience in architectural design or architectural lighting
- Experience in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience in professional 3D rendering software (Keyshot, D5, etc.)
- Experience in Rhino3D
- Basic coding knowledge
