Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders and other heavy equipment to support various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, safety protocols, and efficient operation to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes with precision and safety.
- Perform site preparation, excavation, grading, and backfilling according to project specifications.
- Perform daily circle checks, as well as daily inspections.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Complete and submit paperwork correctly and promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators, and other heavy machinery.
- Sewer and Watermain experience an asset.
- Three to five years Heavy Equipment experience.
- Clean driver's abstract and a minimum valid G driver's license.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Surface Miner Common Core an asset.
- Reliable and punctual.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
