Job Overview:
We are seeking a Seasonal Cook to support kitchen operations at our main lodge restaurant. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals to our guests by preparing and cooking dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth service throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for lodge guests according to menu specifications
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation regulations
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout the shift
- Restock supplies and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas meet cleanliness standards before and after service
- Properly handle and store food and kitchen supplies
Qualifications & Skills:
- Some experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Understanding of basic food prep, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full seasonal term
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
