Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Golf Course Maintenance team member to help maintain the beauty and playability of our golf course. This role involves performing landscape maintenance tasks, operating various tools and equipment, and ensuring the course remains in excellent condition for members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscape care, and outdoor work, with a strong attention to detail and safety.
Responsibilities
- Mow greens, fairways, and roughs using hand tools, power tools, and riding mowers
- Perform landscaping tasks including planting, trimming, fertilizing, and watering grass, shrubs, and trees
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality
- Use hand tools and power tools for aeration, edging, pruning, and other maintenance activities
- Assist with the installation and repair of landscape features such as flower beds, pathways, and decorative elements
- Keep the course clean by removing debris, leaves, and trash from the grounds
- Conduct routine inspections of course conditions to identify areas needing attention or repair
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Experience with horticulture or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of gardening practices and irrigation systems is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and effectively
- Strong work ethic with physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail in maintaining the aesthetic quality of the golf course
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with turf management or golf course maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory
Pay: $18.50 per hour
