Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner/Carpet Cleaning Technician to join our professional cleaning team. This role involves providing high-quality carpet and facility cleaning services for both residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and experience with various cleaning tools and techniques. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in facilities maintenance and commercial cleaning while contributing to a clean and safe environment for our clients.
Duties
- Operate carpet cleaning equipment, including power tools and heavy-duty cleaning machines, to remove stains and dirt from carpets and upholstery
- Use hand tools and custodial equipment to perform detailed cleaning tasks across different facilities
- Conduct facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, surface cleaning, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met
- Apply appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques tailored to different surfaces and materials
- Manage time efficiently to complete scheduled jobs within designated timeframes
- Interact professionally with clients, addressing their needs and providing excellent customer service
- Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning procedures, including proper handling of equipment and chemicals
- Assist with general custodial duties as needed to support overall facility cleanliness
Experience
- Prior experience in custodial work, residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple jobs or projects
- Experience using various cleaning methods, including the use of specialized equipment for carpet and upholstery cleaning
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods is required
- Have a drivers license
