Position: Production Planning Assistant
NutraLab Canada Corporation is one of Canada’s premier contract manufacturers of natural health supplements. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planning Assistant to support our Production Manager in ensuring efficient order entry, production scheduling, and cross-departmental coordination.
This role is critical in aligning sales orders with production capacity and material availability, ensuring all orders are completed accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at coordinating between multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and verify customer orders in the ERP system to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist the Production Manager in developing and maintaining production schedules
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure all required raw materials and packaging are available
- Monitor order progress and proactively follow up to ensure production timelines are met
- Liaise with sales, production, and warehouse teams to resolve scheduling conflicts or delays
- Track production status and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
- Ensure all orders are completed and ready for shipment according to schedule
- Maintain accurate records of production plans, order statuses, and inventory availability
- Identify potential bottlenecks and escalate issues to ensure minimal disruption to operations
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in production coordination, production planning, or ERP order management
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of production scheduling and material flow coordination
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Experience in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics manufacturing is a strong asset
