Registered Nurse Educator (Temporary)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Clinical Educator to develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs for our care team, which includes Health Care Aides (HCA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN). This position is integral to enhancing staff skills and competencies while upholding the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs related to clinical skills, infection prevention and control, and emergency preparedness.
- Provide hands-on education and coaching to RNs, LPNs, and HCAs, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Lead and manage orientation for all new staff members to ensure a smooth integration into the team.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify areas for staff development and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and standards of care.
The Academy of Aging is a Canadian non-profit society with The Manor Village Life Centers. The Academy is focused on coaching Canadians, that chronic health conditions that often results in memory loss with aging can be dramatically reduced and even prevented in some cases with lifestyle changes, especially when health habits are formed in the adult years. What you offer:
- RN designation with The College of Registered Nurses Alberta ( Minimum 5 years active registration with CRNA)
- Experience developing curriculum
- Caring, Great Attitude & Trustworthy
- Knowledge of CCHSS Standards (3-5 years of experience)
- Superb written and oral communication skills
- Able to coach and mentor care staff of varying skills sets
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness and ability to do all required to make the role a success
- Experience in Gerontology and working with Seniors
- Great computer skills
A clean background, vulnerable sector screening and criminal record check will be required.
