Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is vital in creating a positive dining experience and maintaining smooth restaurant operations. Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or hotel settings is preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Manage guest waitlists and communicate wait times effectively
- Handle guest inquiries with professionalism via phone and in person
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Process guest payments using POS systems such as Micros POS accurately
- Assist with special guest requests and accommodate seating preferences when possible
- Uphold hospitality standards to ensure an enjoyable dining experience for all guests
Skills
- Excellent guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
- Experience with serving, food service, or restaurant operations preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
- Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for representing the establishment effectively
