Trealship Services provides services to Ocean Shipping Lines and other transportation carriers by repairing, maintaining, leasing and storing containers. We specialize in reefers (refrigerated cans) though we work on all types of containers. We are currently looking for a Dry repair contractor who can perform structural repairs and maintenance on dry shipping containers also with welding experience, to join our team in Winnipeg.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform structural repairs and welding on dry shipping containers
- MIG, TIG, stick, and/or flux-core welding as required
- Inspect containers for damage or wear and perform appropriate repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Wash and clean containers to meet company standards, ensuring they are free of dirt, debris, and contaminants.
- Use appropriate cleaning materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspect containers for any damage during the cleaning process and report findings to supervisor.
- Follow all health and safety practices and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Any other related tasks that may be required.
Qualifications:
- Welder or equivalent trade experience
- Experience in container repair, intermodal equipment, or industrial welding
- Ability to work independently
- Physically capable of outdoor manual labor
- Previous experience as a general labour or cleaning role is an asset.
