Position Summary:
Are you a seasoned HVAC technician with a passion for complex systems and high-impact projects? We’re looking for an Chiller Mechanic with a strong background in commercial and industrial HVAC to join our growing team. If you have 5+ years of field experience, your 313A and love working on high-efficiency systems — this is your opportunity to take your career to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
System Installation & Commissioning
- Install and commission chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and related systems.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues in chiller systems.
- Use advanced tools (gauges, multimeters, combustion analyzers) to pinpoint problems.
- Recommend and implement reliable, cost-effective solutions.
Repair & Preventative Maintenance
- Perform system maintenance, including filter changes, vibration analysis, and safety checks.
- Repair or replace major components like compressors, motors, and heat exchangers.
- Maintain and calibrate controls, sensors, and safety devices.
Customer Service & Reporting
- Communicate clearly with clients about issues, solutions, and maintenance needs.
- Complete accurate service reports, logs, and documentation.
- Mentor junior techs and apprentices with on-site support and technical know-how.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with HVAC/R codes at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
- Keep licenses and certifications up to date (ODP, 313A, G1/G2).
- Ensure compliance with engineering specs and verify performance metrics.
- Calibrate and test systems for optimal operation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 Years’ experience in the HVAC Industry as a service technician
- Valid 313A Refrigeration and Air conditioner Mechanic License
- G1 or G2 gas license preferred but not required.
- Strong trouble shooting skills with knowledge electrical circuits , refrigerants , and mechanical systems.
- High School Diploma or GED minimum

- Valid ODP card Class G drivers license
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of team, including on-call rotation
- Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
- Heavy lifting required (50-75) pounds, ladder work and tight space work required from time to time
- Ability to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
