Design/Build Installer
A Design & Build Crew Member at Parkside Landscaping is responsible for the Installation of landscapes that transform high end residential properties. Including Hardscaping, Softscaping, Carpentry, Water Features, Landscape lighting and many more landscape features.
The ideal candidate will be someone that is eager to Lead others, learn from others, and bring a creative mindset to our team. The ideal candidate will be someone that is able to work independently as well as with a team.
This person will be assigned tasks based on work schedules. Operate a variety of hand tools and equipment such as skidsteers, excavators, packers, chain saws, hedge shears, sod cutters, pruning saws, mowing equipment, etc. to complete landscape and garden projects.

Daily Responsibilities/Operations
Hardscaping
- Operate light machinery for excavation and material handling purposes. (Ctl, mini ex, mini skid)
- Excavation and base prep/installation for interlocking brick, concrete
- Basic understanding of concrete for slab pours, footings
- Retaining wall construction (natural stone and modular block)
- Installation of interlock walkways, patios, pool decks and driveways
- Installation of water features such as; pondless water features, bubbling rocks, dry river beds, and ponds
- Assembly and installation of timberframes, pergolas, gazebos
Softscaping
- Ability to transform existing landscapes with new materials
- Garden bed preparation and installation of new plant material
- Mulch installation (stone, natural)
- Pruning, plant health assessment, aftercare
Additional Duties
- Load and unload tools, and equipment required to complete landscape Installation tasks
- Inspect vehicles and equipment daily to ensure safe operation
- Creating beautiful outdoor living spaces in a neat, efficient, professional manor.
- Keeping a clean, organized and safe job site for our team and our client
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Must have a valid Class G Driver’s License
- 2+ years of landscape Installation experience
- Creative, highly motivated and detail- oriented
- Experienced in hardscaping/softscaping
- Ability to read and understand 2D designs/site plans and turn into a finished project
- Experience with outdoor woodworking is a bonus (i.e. decking, fencing, small structures).
- Class AR License (not required but is an asset)
