Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Shop & Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations within the warehouse environment. This position involves working with various tools and equipment, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely and supporting the Warehouse Manager in their role. The Shop Assistant will contribute to maintaining a well-organized workspace, assisting in the fabrication of products, and supporting shipping and receiving activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication of products according to specifications.
- Assist in dispatching of tools * equipment to various construction sites across the GTA
- Assist warehouse manager in organizing deliveries and project start up responsibilities.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in packaging and shipping.
- Manage shipping and receiving duties, including inventory control.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment and within a team focused role.
- Excellent communication and problem solving abilities
- Electrical experience or knowledge will be considered an asset *
- Experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and order picking.
- Ability to fabricate components as required by project specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and low voltage systems is a plus
- Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving abstract and be able to commute and work out of our head office location in Richmond Hill.
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
