We are seeking a talented individual to join our Benefits team at Victor Canada. This role will be based in Canada. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This senior leadership role is responsible for the overall direction and performance of the Group & Retiree Benefits business in Canada.
The leader will partner closely with internal stakeholders, carriers, plan advisors, and key clients to drive growth, strengthen operations, and elevate the client and colleague experience. This role will also play a critical part in advancing transformation through innovation, technology, and AI-enabled solutions.
Set the strategic direction and growth plan for the Group & Retiree Benefits business, aligned to firm and market objectives.
Lead the transformation of the business by identifying opportunities to simplify, innovate, and reimagine how work is delivered across the operating model.
Guide, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary leadership team across administration, underwriting, sales, and client service to deliver integrated solutions, strong execution, and continuous improvement.
Foster a client-centric and innovation-oriented culture focused on service excellence, operational efficiency, and measurable business impact.
Accountable for divisional P&L performance, driving profitable growth.
Define, monitor, and report on key KPIs including client retention, service levels, profitability, new business win rate, productivity, and operational effectiveness.
Serve as the strategic partner and senior escalation point for carriers, plan advisors, and major clients.
Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, SLAs, and contracts with carriers and key partners.
Champion technology modernization, process automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled initiatives to improve scale, quality, speed of delivery, and decision-making.
Build a high-performing, inclusive organization by attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, while creating clear cross-functional accountability.
Represent the business internally and externally to strengthen market position, expand relationships, and advance growth opportunities.
Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and client needs to identify new solutions and competitive advantages.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent education and experience.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in group benefits, retiree benefits, or employee benefits administration, ideally with P&L responsibility.
Deep technical knowledge of group and retiree benefits products, administration processes, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience leading leaders across administration, underwriting, sales, and client service.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, underwriting governance, margin management, and P&L leadership.
Demonstrated track record of leading business transformation, operational modernization, and change management in a complex environment.
