Surge is a Canadian payment processing and point-of-sale (POS) platform for restaurants and local businesses across the Greater Toronto Area and Durham Region. We help owners stop overpaying on card processing — transparent, lower-cost rates, no junk fees, and an all-in-one POS.
The role
We're hiring local Sales Representatives to find restaurant and small-business owners across the GTA and Durham, show them our free statement audit, and get them interested. You warm the lead and hand it off — our team handles the demo, onboarding, and closing. No paperwork, setup, or underwriting on your end.
What you'll do
- Prospect local restaurants, cafes, and small businesses in person and by phone
- Pitch the value: lower rates, no junk fees, a better POS, and a free statement audit
- Collect a recent processing statement or book the free audit
- Warm the lead and hand it to the Surge team
Compensation
This is a commission-based role. You earn 30% of the revenue Surge collects from every merchant you bring on, for that merchant's first 6 months processing. Earnings vary with the volume and number of merchants you land and are not guaranteed. (Any salary figure Indeed displays is an estimate only.)
Who you are
- Local to the GTA or Durham Region
- Hungry, self-motivated, and comfortable talking to restaurant and shop owners
- Existing hospitality or retail relationships are a plus, not required
- No payments or POS experience needed — we train you
