Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Part Time Bike Mechanic/Sales Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bicycles, including adjustments, tune-ups, and component replacements
- Assist customers with selecting bikes, accessories, and gear that meet their needs
- Provide expert advice on bike features, maintenance tips, and safety procedures
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and assemble bicycles efficiently and safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Manage inventory levels of parts, accessories, and supplies
- Support sales efforts by demonstrating product features and answering customer questions
Experience
- Previous experience with bicycle repair or mechanical work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge of bike components such as gears, brakes, wheels, and suspension systems is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers is essential
- Experience using power tools safely for bike repairs is desirable
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are important for success in this role
