Job Summary
The Painter is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of resort facilities through high-quality painting and staining work. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and ensuring all tasks meet safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in painting techniques for various surfaces.
Your contribution to the team includes:
- Perform maintenance painting and staining on exteriors of cabins, main house, lodge, and staff housing.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
- Apply paints, stains, and protective coatings using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, clean and store properly after use.
- Communicate supply needs and inventory shortages to the Operations Manager.
- Complete majors repaint projects as directed.
- Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment when necessary.
- Assist with loading/unloading supplies and transporting materials across the resort.
- Maintain cleanliness in exterior common areas.
- Work collaboratively with team members and always demonstrate professionalism.
What you need to be successful:
- Previous painting experience required; resort or hospitality setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of painting tools, materials, and application techniques.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Skilled in surface preparation and application of paints and stains.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in painting.
